2019 GAKAC

I want to thank each of you for helping make GAKAC the awesome event it is.  This year we registered nearly 375 families and 1,200 children (we gave away 1,100 backpacks).  There are 60 family portraits we will hand deliver to continue the relationship building aspect of this program.  Our bills are nearly paid and it looks like we will roll a little over $10,000 into the next program year.

Its hard to describe in words the impact YOU made, so I attached a few photos.  You can see the impact through the expressions on peoples faces.  Special thanks to the youth volunteer groups (Football, Cheer Leaders, Lionettes, Junior High Cheer Leaders, National Honor Society, several Church Groups, Etc).  Our unsung HEROES for 2019 are the folks that provide Hair Cuts (Marie Novy, Tisha McElay and Foundation of Life Church - lice checking) and Unity in the Community for organizing the service providers and vendors.  As always - Ennis ISD - you folks are AWESOME.  Its a real pleasure working with such a wonderful group of professionals.

Lion Cubs (Weekend Food Backpacks) will start in a few weeks.

Angel Tree will be here before you know it.
